Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • .5 cups pudina


  • .5 tsp cumin seed


  • 2 tsp chopped green chillies


  • .5 tsp lemon juice


  • .5 tsp sugar


  • .25 tsp salt


  • 1 tsp oil


  • 2 cups oil for deep-frying


  • 4 cups plain flour


  • 1 cups water

Directions

  • 1. Combine the mind leaves, cumin seeds, green chillies, lemon juice, sugar, salt and 1 tbsp of water in a mixer and blend into a coarse paste.
  • 2. Transfer the paste into a deep bowl, add the plain flour and 1 tbsp oil, mix well and knead into a stiff dough using enough water.
  • 3. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll out it.
  • 4. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and deep-fry, a few puris at a time on a medium flame, till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  • 5. Serve immediately.
